Welcome to our weekly playgroup! Every Wednesday (term time only) 9:30-11:30 am our Playgroup Coordinator Cara runs an educational and fun playgroup with a new theme every term. We have lots of craft and activities to suit all preschool children.  The session also includes story time and lots of free play.  So why not come and join us and meet like minded mums for a coffee and a catch up? Last week was all about Australian wildlife, we had a visit from West Oz Wildlife and got to see many creatures and even had a koala visit! The children all thoroughly enjoyed and were on their best behaviour for the whole day. Continuing with the Australia theme for this term, this weeks playgroup we will be making Wattle Trees to take home. Come and join in the fun and meet new friends. Cost: Gold coin donationAll children to bring a piece of fruit to share, soft drinks will also be available (gold coin donation). *Remember to bring a hat and a bottle of water for your child/children.  To attend you must be a member, you can do this online by going to our website  www.marillacommunity.com and clicking 'memberships' or you can complete a paper membership form on the day. Marilla fitness sessions are run by the lovely Kirsten from Infituation and are a child friendly fitness group that runs every Monday morning at 9.30 am from the Rockingham Naval Club (at the rear of the building). No online ticket just come along and pay on the day! (Bulk purchase for tickets available at your session)If having to pay childcare costs or not having any childcare has put you off exercising in the past, this is for you! If you are ready to make that leap into getting back into shape then come and join our group.We have a Facebook page: Fitness@Marilla where you can chat to the group and get friendly advice and information. Come and meet like-minded people and make fitness fun.Bring $5, a towel and a water bottle. If you have a fitness mat, bring that along too.Suitable for all genders aged 18-65.Please bring a snack, water bottle and a hat for your child. Marilla will provide toys and/or activities for your child/children while you exercise. (Children will be your responsibility during the session). This session runs outdoors so please ensure your children are dressed appropriately for the weather.A healthy snack will be provided for the fitness attendees after your session.*This is a Marilla members only group, you can join online, or on the day. Marilla's Tidy Up Volunteer Day. We Need You!

Its that time of year again, where we call out to all you lovely people to ask you for a little of your time to help us keep our equipment in ship shape condition! If you ladies want to volunteer your partners/hubbies and get them out of the house for a few hours, we would kindly take them off your hands and put them to work :) Additionally if you ladies want to escape from the house for a few hours and lend a hand, we will be just as happy! Any thing you can help with will be gratefully received. We need to give our cubby house, sand pit and mud kitchen a lick of oil, we also need to clean up our sand pit and lay a weed sheet and refill. Can anyone lend a hand? We have all the gear (and no idea). If you can come and lend a hand for an hour or so (whatever you can offer) we would be very grateful! We would also be thankful for anyone who would like to donate towards the project in any way, or anyone who wants to donate play sand to refill our sand pit. We rely on your kind generosity to maintain our wonderful community centre and ensure our equipment stays safe and protected for the year ahead.  Please support us, and bring a friend the more the merrier!Please come in appropriate clothing and closed in boots/shoes. If you have gloves please bring them too.We will  provide a sausage sizzle and a brew for all volunteers. Thank you, from all at Marilla!The help we need: 4 volunteers (per session) to oil the equipment  11-12am, 12-1pm, 1-2pm4 volunteers (per session) to lift sand pit and fit the weed sheet and refill. Why not come down and get a cuddle from these furry (and not so furry) friends! Marilla Training Courses offer members..A Caring For Kids First Aid course for only $25pp (the cost is usually $95 if booked direct through St Johns) This is a non-accredited course that teaches how to perform CPR, and how to manage bleeding, burns and a range of childhood related illnesses and injuries. Particular focus is given to asthma, choking, bites and stings. There are no assessments as part of this course. Who this course is recommended for: • Parents/guardians; • Grandparents; and • Carers of young children. All participants will receive a Tiny Tots First Aid Kit, valued at $35.00 St John Ambulance recommends that you refresh your first aid training every 12 months. This is also in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines that state CPR skills should be refreshed annually. Course duration: 5 hours. Overview Course Content: CPR DRSABCD action plan Recovery position for child and infant Foreign material  Positional asphyxia  Respiratory conditions - asthma, allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, choking Trauma management – falls, cuts, nose bleeds, bleeding, shock, burns, fractures and soft tissue injuries  Common childhood problems – toothache, earache, stomach upsets, croup, fever, febrile convulsions, meningococcal, poisons, bites and stings  Unit(s) of Competency There are no formal qualifications associated with this course. This course usually runs at $95 but our members get it for just $25pp (Thats an amazing saving all thanks to Marilla)

This group is for you if you are pregnant, or have already had a baby or have a toddler as babies and small children welcome, we have toys and a cuppa waiting for you. Today's topic is Budget Tips For Families. This group is free and meets on every second Monday of school term from 9.30am to 11.30am and is led by two doulas who are passionate about taking care of mothers (Kelly Evans - The Modern Doula and Kylie Rose Doula). We do regular activities to explore motherhood and have some fun. There will be activities available for the kids too. We will explore topics relating to pregnancy, birth and parenthood.

Members Only Group Fitness class with Kirsten from Infituation.   Register now, and arrive dressed to sweat at 9.30am -10.30 am every Monday  Kids are welcome to attend but they are your responsibility at all times. This is an outdoor event so be sure to dress your children appropriately.  $5 a session (ticket purchase information available on the day) If you are a new Member then click Create Account (this will take you only a few minutes and ask you a few details to allow you to access our Membership Portal, Buy Tickets for events etc.) Membership is FREE until 30/06/2017. Bring the kids along to put an end to School Holiday boredom and learn some new skills on the 10th April at 10am.  Kidz'n Sport will be here with a range of sports activities that build self-confidence while having fun! Some of the activities that may run include: Basketball shoot - Portable unit set up and children shoot from a mat Netball shoot - Portable unit set up and children shoot from a mat Throwing target - Portable unit set up and children shoot from a mat Catching Station - either use our automatic ball machines or a coach will manually do the throwing  Rebound Net - Portable unit set up and children shoot from a mat Fun Games Sack races Egg and spoon races Three Legged Race Tug of War Dodge Ball Rats and Rabbits The session goes for 1.5-2 hours depending on the session. Suitable for ages 2-8.
